Steve Lamb

Bass, Vocals

Hailing from Rochester NY, Steve began playing guitar at the end of high school. Initially influenced by the rock sound of the 1980’s he soon heard his first jazz guitar record (Pat Metheny’s Question and Answer) and was instantly converted. After getting a degree in classical guitar studies at the local community college, he then moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music as a Jazz Guitar Performance major, graduating in 1994 and began working with numerous local musicians while also beginning to study computer programming.

When the jam band scene started to explode, Steve joined the band Pretty Cool Chair as their bassist and recorded two albums with the group before it disbanded. Steve then went on to play with many different musical projects, both on guitar and bass and eventually answered the calling for a new bassist for Ramble On Rose.

Today, Steve keeps busy by working with a number of different musical projects across different genres (and different instruments) to help fulfill his artistic desires and also to meet other like-minded artists and build the community.
